Job Summary
The Crewing Officer is responsible for providing administrative support to the Crewing/HR department and assisting with various Crewing functions. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth Crewing operations and effective communication within the organization.
About the Role
Coordinate day-to-day operations of the Crewing functions and duties.
Source and recruit qualified crew members for various maritime and offshore projects.
Conduct interviews and assessments to ensure candidates meet the required standards.
Verify the authenticity of crew members’ certifications and qualifications
Maintain and update crew records, including personal details, certifications, and employment history.
Ensure all crew members have valid and up-to-date certifications as per maritime regulations.
Prepare and process necessary documentation for crew deployment.
Arrange travel, accommodation, and other logistics for crew members.
Coordinate with travel agencies and other service providers to ensure smooth operations.
Monitor crew movements and ensure timely deployment and repatriation.
Monitor the performance and well-being of crew members during their tenure.
Address any issues or concerns raised by crew members and provide necessary support.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to crew members.
Communicate with clients to understand their crewing needs and provide suitable solutions.
Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality crewing services.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Stay updated with the latest maritime regulations and industry standards.
Ensure all crewing activities comply with international and local maritime laws.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualification and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Additional certifications in maritime management or crewing operations are a plus.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in crewing or a similar role within the maritime industry.
Functional Skills Requirement
Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, including STCW (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers).
Proficiency in using crewing software and MS Office applications.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
