Job Summary
A Contract Officer is responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of contracts, from drafting and negotiation to execution and compliance. This role involves ensuring that all contracts meet legal and regulatory standards while aligning with the company’s strategic objectives.
About the Role
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and review terms for standard forms like NDAs, MOUs, and partnership agreements.
Analyze contract terms to balance risk appetite with commercial objectives.
Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with contracts
Manage relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
Ensure that all parties adhere to contractual obligations
Work on the preparation, submission, and review of tenders.
Coordinate with various departments to gather necessary information for tenders
Maintain a contract repository and ensure all contracts are up to date.
Monitor contract performance and compliance.
Qualification and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Law, or a related field.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM) are a plus
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Contract Management or a similar role.
Functional Skills Requirement
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Experience with office management software and tools.
Proficiency in contract management software and tools.
Familiarity with legal terminology and contract laws.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Understanding of relevant laws and regulations affecting contracts.
Ability to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
